Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German film and television actress most well-known for her roles in movies such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Born as the only child of Romanian acting star Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra entered entertainment early and began playing lead roles in different shows on television by the time she turned 16. Her critically acclaimed performance in the film for television that she made Der Tunnel paved way for other notable roles including the role of Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudl Junge, in the commercially and critically highly successful Oscar nominated historic war drama film Downfall. Other Oscar nominees featuring the female diva include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Over the years Alexandra was involved in numerous notable international and national projects. They include the British biographical film Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and the French historic mini-series Napoleon and many more. She also remained member of the jury at the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
